Newbie Player Usage/Injuries Question
I am a long-time fan of Diamond Mind. I discovered your product while trying to research a way to get DMB to work under Wine (I dumped Windows for Open Suse two years ago). I saw the Linux version and downloaded the demo. I must say I am very impressed.
I did have a question about player usage. Last night with the Demo I tried to quick play the 2008 season. Albert Pujols was injured for 10 months in April. I am a Cards fan, so I hope this is not a harbinger of what is to come. ![]() Anyway, as Pujols has never been hurt for that period of time, I turned injuries off. But I was wondering does the game take player usage into account. For example, I do not want a 200 AB player to be given 400 AB. Is there a way to regulate player usage in this way? No, the game won't take real life usage into account when deciding injuries in OOTP.
If a player in OOTP hurts, say, his elbow, he has a greater chance of hurting his elbow again in the future. Usage in OOTP will come into effect for pitchers with pitch counts. I don't know if it does for large inning jumps when converting relievers to starters or other such things.
