historical replays?

I ordered ver10 of this game online and have not got chance to download and I think I made a mistake. I only want to replay pre 1980 seasons and I am reading the results are not very good. I don't expect 'right on" replay stats but at least CLOSE ...IE '77 Foster not going to hit 20 homers etc..

Check out the thread "Historical replay accuracy" in the OOTP 10 General Discussion section, specifically post #148 by Garlon. He has some very good suggestions for how to combat this and got some very positive results in a sim he did, which he details in that post and later in the thread. The neutralized database should help, but check out that post as I am a n00b and I might mislead you.
