1920 replay

Using real transactions, schedule etc;.

Cleveland ran away with the pennant in the AL but in the NL I had six of the eight teams in the running all the way to the final week with the Phillies edging out the Reds and Cubs by a game and the Giants by 2, the Braves by 3, and the Cards 4.

WS tomorrow!

Behold the following absurdity:
"It is four years down the road, but I doubt a far-winger from either side could actually secure the WH. Moderates generally win. Obama is definitely a moderate . He had wide appeal, and still does."

Bagby easily took game 1, 4-0, holding the Phils to a few scattered hits and one double by Gavy Cravath who was promptly thrown out at 2nd. The Phils are lucky to be here ( winning only 81 games) and I can see the Tribe sweeping this series in 5.

WS game 2 later...

Tribe wins the series 5 games to 2. Game two lasted 13 innings with the Phills squeezing out a victory. The rest were blowouts with the Phills winning one in between.

and yes....Ray Chapman was killed by a Carl Mays fastball on August 16th and replaced by Sewell who was outstanding in the Series..
