No Green Light
All,
I am planning on creating a post WWII Universe (1946 Start). Lets assume for a moment that the Green Light Letter was never agreed to by Roosevelt and Baseball was not played during the war years. What I am trying to create is a universe in which the Pacific Coast League, American Association, and International Leagues competed with MLB for all the returining players. What I would like to end up with is four competing leagues with a mix of historical and generated players. That over time would would meld into a different set of Major and Minor leagues mix. What I need help with is the proper way to set up and import... and then expose all the players to signings by any team in any of the four leagues. I realize that a draft would not work since the first league drafting would grab all the talent... I would have to have a similar action with each subsequesnt imorted set of histroical players with generated ficional players. Any ideas??? |

Perhaps you could set them up as divisions within subleagues. Maybe along these lines:
SL1=MLB with American Division and National Division SL2=Independent League with Pacific, AA, and International Divisions. Set schedules to allow divisional play only and set up your playoffs however you want. This would put all players in the same overall pool. It would not allow you to have different rules for each league. It would also not allow for different league financials unless you controlled the teams individually. Anyway, it's an idea. |
