How do you sim past 1871?

Ive tried a few historical sims starting in 1871 (I usually start in 1903 so this is new to me), and can keep the sim running, but once I hit 1874 (or maybe 1875) the game will simulate the season, but only 2 teams play each other every game, while the other teams play no games. For instance two teams will go 20-10/10-20, while everyone else is 0-0

I figure this has to do with the league abbreviations in the DB, but how do I go about getting around this? What other changes need to be manually done to the DB in order to get the schedules correct ? I thought that 1871 on would be available to sim right out of the box. Apparently not. What do I need to do?

It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you.

Does anyone start simming in 1871 and continue through the century? How do you get past past 1874 ?

I do that but I have not encountered this problem.

Have you changed any settings or are you just using the historical setup wizard?

It runs fine through 1875, but in 1876 only 3 teams play any games, and they only play 2 games each. Philadelphia, New York, and St. Louis play 2 games for the entire season, and all of the other teams play none.

Looking into a teams.csv file from a different database, 1871-1875 all show NA for a league abbreviation. In 1876 they change to NL. I dont want to go through a bunch of hoops of using a different database and changing a bunch of league abberviations if I dont have to, since I thought the game was simable in the 1800's out of the box

Ive been trying to get the league going from the historical wizard, using the .odb. Ive got the usual stuff like injuries, AI evaluation, player development, etc set to my liking, but that stuff shouldnt matter. I do have automatically expand league checked. Ive also tried with the XML schedule and without the XML schedule.

I am sorry but I have no idea what might be wrong.

If you are using the standard built in db and you are using the default setup it should all be hoopless as far as the jumping through part is concerned.

Sounds like your schedules are messed up but I do not know what may be causing this.
