Maybe someone here has an answer
I posted this in the technical support but may someone here can help as they are overwhealmed by other situations and I understand this. I listed this in that forum under "Spring training problem" so if you look at that post you can see the screenshots and an explanation of the problem. In a nutshell, I have started two leagues and in the first one there was a problem in the secone year as spring training overlapped the start of the season giving me the last two games of spring training and starting the new season on those last two day. The second league it happened in the third season. I am using historical schedules. Please help as I can't play a historical leagues without this problem so the game in unplayable.
Again I undeerstand the support team has so many problems right now and I was hopeing someone here had an answer

How about providing a link to your thread in Tech Support.

Have you tried editing the ingame schedule file?

Since this has never been a problem before in any past versions I should not have to edit any schedule as they are supposed to be imported correctly and spring training should be adjusted automatically. If this is the only way to correct this issue when and where do I check to see if the schedule is being imported correctly. There was another post by another user that was having the same problem and because he never got back to support they closed the thread. I would prefer the problem gets fixed in the next patch. As of now i am putting together a fictional league to bide my time till this gets corrected

If anyone has the same situation with their historical league. Please post here as there has only been a select few that have experienced this. The more people that post the better chance we get it fixed quickly..I have a post over on the technical section called Spring Training Problem. Some one is getting Marcus to look at this but we need more people with the same problem. I for one am not editing anything yet as I should not have to.

It's clear that something got out-of-whack in OOTP10. There is a work-around which I encourage people to use, since it is simple, until the problem gets fixed in a patch.
Go to the Functions page in League Setup, and select the Edit League Schedule. Go to the date that is the start of your regular season. If you have the overlap problem, you will see games listed on that date which are ST games as well as the regular season games. Simply delete the ST games (be careful that you don't delete any regular season games -- but if you do, you can add them back into the schedule easily enough). Go to the next date and delete any ST games. Rinse and repeat. You might consider deleting ST games on the day before the start of regular season play as well. ST will be shorter than normal, but that is the only consequence. |
