BZ 3119: I made the game crash
I was trying out a few things for a league idea that I want to try. While doing so, I made the game crash. Here is what I did.
1. Created a fictional league with 1 sub league, 1 division, 8 teams. 2. Simmed a season 3. On January 1, 2010, I created a sub league, 1 division and moved 4 teams into it. So, I have 2 sub leagues, 1 division each, with 4 teams. 4. Simmed a season. 5. On January 1, 2011, I created a 2nd fictional league with 1 sub league, 1 division, 8 teams. 6. Simmed 2 seasons. 7. Then, on January 1, 2013, I moved the 8 teams in the 2nd league into the 2 sub leagues in the first league. 8. I simmed to Opening Day and I believe I got a crash advancing to April 1. Simulating March 31 was still showing on the sim screen. I think this has to do with having a league without any teams in it. I would like to be able to have a league where the teams in it move to another league and the old league pretty much goes away, but I want to maintain the history of the defunct league. I am on vacation starting tomorrow until 6/12. I may not be able to respond to any questions. I'm sure if you follow the steps above, you can recreate the crash if you like. Thanks. I can replicate this and it is due to the schedule not being regenerated - there is a message that says "you may need to re-generate the schedule" but it doesn't force you to.
I think there are certain conditions where you need to and some where you don't. Moving a team from one league to another is a definite regeneration.
