BZ 3132: Game not closing in Vista

Sometimes when I close the game I get a game not closing error

Vista SP2
PC

Once I close the prompt I have no problem reopening the game. This problem does not happen each time, it seems to be quite random

Have you generally been doing the same thing before it happens or is it completely random?

I just opened the game played around with it and closed it with no problem. When it happens I usually open the game check out the new options and then close the game. It usually happens the first time I open and close the game. I think once it happened after I had closed the game and then later opened it and closed it

I actually have this happen to me often as well. I have OOTPX running on a PC with Vista as well. For me it just seems to happen randomly when I exit the game. It doesn't seem to do anything to the game, nothing gets lost or bad happens, its just like a kink at the end of the road, an extra button I end up having to press when I close the game. I guess you can call it an annoyance eventually, but it doesn't bother me at the moment. It is kind of odd though, and I can't explain why it happens. I don't do anything special when I quit, it just seems to happen. I will take a picture next time as well and see if I can remember doing anything out of the ordinary.

I've had this too. Don't have anything to add on the why side - must have opened/closed the game maybe a dozen times, and it happened twice. Didn't do anything particularly different those two times than any of the others.

And like the other guys said, it doesn't seem to have any ill effects.

Odd though.

+1 running Vista Premium on laptop with 4gb of ram. No issues other than the message, games get saved, etc.

Same here- happens about 50% of the time when quitting the game. I haven't noticed it affecting anything when I re-open the game; it's very annoying though...
