BZ 3203: Budget calculation error

I have seen this in two instances:
At announcement of new budget when a team's media contract increased from the previous season, the new budget does NOT include the media contract, resulting in an abnormally low budget for the coming year.

So the new budget doesn't include the new media contract at all or it doesn't include the difference between the new one and the old one? What happens in the following season?

The new budget doesn't include the media contract at all.

I can't tell you what would have occurred the next season as I corrected the budget and moved on.

Correct.
The problem is the team has a budget in year one of let's say $60 million and the media contract for that year is $7.5 million. As we proceeded to the new year the team media budget for the new year was $25 million, a substantial increase. However the team's budget for the new year was substantially lower. The budget number was the prior year gate revenue plus the prior year merchandising revenue. Nothing was included for media revenue.

I can probably duplicate the problem. It comes from a solo league using the NABA quick start.

Yikes. Quickstarts and templates always carry potential trouble.

Yes, can you please confirm that this happens in a new fictional league or the like? If so, I'll reopen the report right away.

I cannot replicate this in a new fictional league.
Perhaps it's best to chalk it up to a quick-start problem and just close the issue.
