Unhappy BZ 3352: Player morale should not apply during ST

This is a small but annoying issue in my online and solo leagues. I want to play prospects in ST and some of my starters are pissed because they are not starting. Surely the morale system can be set to "don't worry be happy" mode for 4 weeks in ST and during the playoffs.

Please fix this.

During spring training games, in real life, the starters start and play for about one turn through the lineup in order for them to get their work in at the plate and in the field and then the prospects go into the game. This goes on for about the first week or two of spring training. The starter's playing time then increases as the weeks go by in order to get them into shape for playing a full game by the time spring training ends.

I suggest doing the same thing.

Also, the starting pitcher usually pitches the first few innings, max of 3, and then after a couple of starts the number of innings increases as well.

I know that. Unfortunately the AI in OOTP doesn't and it will leave some prospects with 5 AB after 3 weeks of ST. I usually let my starters start against LHP and use prospects in the starting lineup against RHP. On a good note the AI does well with the pitching staff, I rarely have to force pitchers unless they are really bad.

In "real life" there are split squads that allow the prospects and starters to get playing time. Not having that option is a real disadvantage in OOTP.

Or we should have ST and game schedules in minor leagues.

Here lies the problem. The starters are complaining because they are not in the starting lineup against RHP. I don't know if there is anyway around it to get them to stop complaining other than to put them in the starting lineup against RHP.

Are you playing the games or simming them?

I know what the problem is.

I'm complaining because morale should only count when the games count. One could also argue that morale should be off or turned down in the playoffs. We all hear commentators talking about pitcher A who wants to start but will take it for the team in the playoffs.
