BZ 3312, 3313: Minor League DL Notifications
I play sim only and have my minor league managers handling my demotion/promotion and lineups/rotations. I do not allow them to sign/release. I am now getting notifications about minor league players elgible to come off the DL that is stopping my maor league sim. It goes to the disabled list/transaction page of the minor league team but has already removed the player from the DL. Is there any way to make it not give me this notification that stops my sim for me to do nothing except to restart the sim?

I just found another problem. I had a minor leaguer placed on the 60 day DL by my minor league management and then I was forced to activate him to send him back down. He earned service time while on the DL as well.

Logged as BZ #3312 and #3313.
First being the service time accumulation, second being the request for an option to disable minor league interruptions AND/OR major league interruptions with regard to the DL.

Can you verify that the minor leaguer was accumulating service time while on the ML DL? While the other issue has been claimed fix, this one is being treated as invalid. Is it reproducible?

I will see if it happens again. It happened with Steve Sax. When I traded for him he had played 6 days for the Dodgers. I immediately sent him to the minors and never called him up. He got hurt on 8-5 and put on the 60 day DL by the AI until I got the notiication that he was elgible to come off ther DL after the playoffs had started. Season 2 has not started but he has 63 days of service time....the exact number of days left in the regular season when he went on the DL plus the 6 days he had while with LA.

I don't know that we found solid evidence for a 60-Day minor league DL. If the minor league CPU was placing the player on the 60-Day DL, it could be assumed to be the major league version with allows the benefit of freeing up a 40 man roster spot. It is normal for this to accrue service time.
However, it could be deemed a bug for the minor league CPU to use the 60-Day Major League DL. It should use the minor league DL in all cases, since there is no detriment to putting the same player on the 7-Day or 15-Day minor league DL and letting him sit for 60+ days. However, I believe that the game will not then allow the human manager to transfer this player to the 60-Day major league DL if they need to open up the 40-man slot, which causes an issue in itself. There is no transfer option to allow the human manager to do this. |
