BZ 3485 : Create ratings based on stats
Version 10.2.16
PC I am trying to input updated ZiPS projections for players to recalculate ratings in the 2009 roster set. This bug is reproducible. I made a quick search of the logged issues and closed issues forums, and was not able to find this listed. My apologies if I missed it. When entering custom statistics on the player editor screen for offensive players, any change in the base number of at-bats from 550 results in wildly offbase ratings when the "Create current ratings based on stats" function is used. If you recalculate the stats based on 550 at bats and do not change the base number of at bats from 550, then the function works properly. For example, if you enter Luke Scott's updated ZiPS projection of 26 home runs in 439 at bats, you will end up with a power rating of 250. If you divide 26 by 439 and then multiply by 550, and enter the resulting 36 home runs in 550 at bats, you get a realistic 132 vs. Right handers and 160 vs. lefties power rating. So I'm inclined to believe there is a bug when changing the base number of at bats in the ratings editor. |
