BZ 3601 : "Upload League Files" button is missing!

Hello,

We created a league, got to the beginning of the inagural draft for an online league... and then I went to game setup to setup the online options.

I checked ALL relevent checkboxes, put in all FTP info perfectly, everything tests perfectly...

But of the 4 buttons that should appear on the right site, the ONLY one that doesn't show up is "Upload League Files"...

WHY?

It's the only one I need to use right now.

Let me know...

I'm trying to find which screen has four buttons on, but I think you'll find that you may need to create the zip file first before the upload button appears.

Hi Tony, thanks for your reply... this is driving us nuts.

I'm surprised more people aren't having a problem with this.

It's in the Online League Functions. The same screen you put in all the FTP info on the left... and on the right there's these options:

OOTP Baseball Manual - Online League Functions

The "Upload League Files" one is missing.

We have to create the .zip manually? That doesn't seem right. It's not mentioned in the docs.

How do we go about doing that? What files and in what folder should we .zip?

Oh one more quick thing, I found this documentation here:

OOTP Baseball Manual - Uploading League Files

And it looks like OOTP will create the compressed file for us...but we can't get to this part because the "Upload League Files" button is missing...

It's a bit upside down but click the "Create Files" button at the very bottom of that screen.

Hey Tony, maybe I'm nuts... but I don't see a "Create Files" button anywhere... there's nothing under the right side of the screen, or the left side where I'm testing FTP connections.

I'm in the "Online League Setup" area... where's the "Create Files" Button? I've been trying to find it for 30 minutes...

Eggerda,

You are absolutely right that button is not there. I never noticed (and assume no one else ever noticed) before because most people don't go there to use that function.

I will log a bug report on that button being missing, but I'm doubtful that it will be in time for the final patch, especially since that button is not necessary.

What most online commissioners do is go into your Commish Portal (Toolbar at the top of the screen, go Manager -> Commish portal)

Then on the left side of the screen, you will see the League File Center. Click on that and you will then have all of the tools you need to upload the file.

I created BZ3601 regarding this issue.

It should not impact you however as you can do everything that button does through the Commish portal without any issues.

Yep. I agree that the manual must be wrong because I've been to that screen and only have two buttons.

If you go to the Commish Portal (under Manager) and then click on League File Center that should let you deal with the file creation and upload.
