Someone brought this up in the thread about gauging interest threads. I think these are a bigger nuisance.

First of all, is this the kind of GM you would want in your league? It seems a display of things to come once they take over a team for you...as in they were too lazy to search for a league and petition to join the ones they find that match their interest.

It seems to say to me "I'm so important that I shouldn't have to do any work to find a fun league for me. They should come to me."

That said, there are instances where the potential GM has tried to find a good league and just has not had any luck. Maybe they have specific things they are looking for (other than an MLB rosters league with mostly default settings...if you can't find that on your you are just not trying) and they did put in some effort.

The one thread is an excellent thing. But even there, I feel the player should really sell themselves and what they are looking for. If somebody didn't explain why they posted there and were just announcing that they are "on the market" I would be very wary.
