Has anyone ever had any success using this feature in on-line leagues?

And if so, what house rules (if any) did you implement to make it work?

The PEBA and the LRS both use full coaching and scouting with no house rules required. While I can understand why people would prefer to not use them, personally I couldn't imagine playing without them. One nice side benefit of using coaches/scouts is that they're handy cash sinks, especially when a hotshot free agent coach sparks a bidding war.

It is part of making the game real. All scouts do not see players the same. Some team player development systems are better than others.
