StatsLab Patch #3 - OOTPX
StatsLab SQL Utilities for OOTPX Online Leagues
Download StatsLab for OOTPX (release thread) Download StatsLab Patch 1.0 for OOTPX Download StatsLab Patch 2.3 for OOTPX Download StatsLab Patch 3.1 for OOTPX Here it is: The latest set of fixes and enhancements for StatsLab! IMPORTANT: Do not use this patch or Patch 2.3 until exporting SQL files from OOTPX patch 10.4.x! If you are using the development tracker, be sure to use this patch as soon as you upgrade, or your development will not be correct. There is a patch readme file included. I have not updated the utility's readme, so all the enhancements are in this new readme. There's no conversion required for this patch, although there are two additional SQL files needed from the OOTP data dump. Details in the patch readme. You will need to have StatsLab Patch 1 and Patch 2.3 installed before you can take this patch, as it only includes updated files. Enhancement List: - New Front Office module including: Trade Block, Payroll Page, Contract Detail Page, Projected Free Agents - New Ballparks pages - Expanded batting and pitching stats on player page - Additional batting and pitching stats added to leaderboards pages - Enhanced year filter on leaderboards pages (through, after, equal options) - And more! As with all amateur development, there's probably some bugs that have slipped through the cracks. Feel free to send me any questions via PM or post them here in this forum. I tend to respond to PM's a bit faster, though, and will do my best to fix any issues asap. Once again, many thanks to Corsairs and the rest of the PEBA for beta testing this patch. Their suggestions, patience, and insight are a boon to all leagues using these utils. If you're looking for a league to join, you'd be hard pressed to find a better group of people to game with.

Once again, I have to hand it to fhomess. His hard work makes OOTP's #1 utility suite better than ever. The modest enhancement list he included in his post features the highlights, but it doesn't even begin to cover everything that's crammed into this new edition. Just to add to what you can expect:

I have to agree. Its been a great addition to Hardball Heroes and I can't wait to get this new patch up and running once my ammy draft is done (no need to tempt fate by installing during the draft, right?).
Thanks to all involved in helping to mold this into what its become -- the best OOTPX addon out there! |

Fhomess, you should definitely be in touch with Markus regarding implementing some of these concepts into OOTP11.
Awesome work. Getting my league going next week after a short break and will once again shill for my GM's to toss some coin your way. This is far and away the best addition to an online league one could hope for, and once again we get new toys.

Thanks for the kind words, folks.
I have updated the Patch 3 download with some minor fixes identified since I released it: 1. Fixed display issue on the new Payroll page that occurred after the end of the postseason but before the end of the calendar year. 2. Fixed sorting issue on individual SQL File Load page. 3. Fixed PS/PA totals on player page to only include season with pitch data available (older versions of OOTP didn't record this). I've also added one feature for commishes struggling with the DB upload timing out: 4. For the technically inclined commish, created a script you can run from your server to load the SQL files rather than using the StatsLab admin page. This new script is documented in the Patch 3 readme. I believe it's fairly straightforward, and anyone who's worked with files on a server remotely should have no trouble running it. The purpose of this script is to help leagues who are having issues with web timeouts while trying to load the very large SQL files from their StatsLab admin page. It does not support individual file load.

Is it ok to patch if you've been on 10.4 AND using development all along? It sort of reads as if it will fubar dev if you patch.

If you've been using 10.4 all along, you're fine. The way ratings are exported in the 10.4 patch is different than prior to that, and StatsLab patch 2.3 was the first one to read the ratings using the new SQL export.

You'll see 30/30 (and higher) club pop up in Stat of The Day at some point.
