base stealing

I finally bought the game yesterday after one week trying the demo. I'm not an expert of baseball and I just want to veriry if to thing are normal. First the number of stolen base seems a little bit high (75 in 32 game in the AL and 118 in 38 games in the NL) . Secondly, the player make a lot of error (107 in the AL and 153 in the NL). Are those number are credible for an historic simulation starting in 1901 ? Thanks !

By the way it's always funny to see that the past can be change. I let my game simulate itself and in 1957 Roger Marris got the rookie of the year with Cleveland (20 HR). But after 39 games the next year he retired because of an injury, so he never a record in this universe. OK enough talk ...

I'm sorry, but I'm having difficulty understanding the numbers you quoted. If you mean 'is it normal for a player?', then absolutely not in any of those four cases.

If you mean 'is it normal for a team?', then the error numbers (three per game in the AL/four per game NL) would be high for this period, but especially the AL numbers not totally beyond the realm of possibility. These would be better numbers for the 1890s (AL) and 1880s (NL).

The stolen bases are just very high. Anything more than two per game could only be found during the brief period in the 19th century when players got credit for stolen bases when they advanced two bases on a single, three on a double or scored on a sacrifice fly. Even two per game would be very high, but not totally unbelievable.

It's ok. I check this and the number of stolen base was highter in the beginning of the century. I will probably decrease this manually since the player steal too much and get caught too much. The number represent the team number. Thanks for the answer.
