I just got this game not too long ago, and have just started to actually manage a team. I took my first job on a AA squad, and waited until opening day to set my lineups to give the GM time to send players up and down.
Now, during the season, I am losing and receiving different players nearly every day due to the AI GM of the organization. It is a bit frustrating having to set my lineup so frequently, and not being able to have a more consistent roster. Any suggestions on how I go about fixing this? Did I miss a setting or something? Much appreciated! |

1998 Yankees will be along to tell you the sad tale of his experiences as a minor league manager in 2006 (it's a good story, and he tells it well), but as someone who's only read about other people's misfortunes with this, I can tell you that your fault lies not within yourself, but within your stars.
In other words, the game is very frustrating for affiliated minor league managers, and there's remarkably little you can do about it. My recommendation would be to establish an independent minor league and try managing there, instead. You'll get a little experience with scouting and working with a budget, and you won't have half your team promoted away from you every week.
