OOTP Tutorial
Is there one available. I am trying the demo, and ootp7bm has a huge learning curve.
I owned ootpbm6, but recieved a refund and have owned ootp3,4,5 and 6. 6.5 was by far my favorite. The interface is different (not worse) and I was wondering if a Tutorial is available to make the game more enjoyable. I felt like I was working to try to set the game up. If there isn't one available. I do strongly suggest that Sega/sports interactive...have one. Or at least a instruction manual. I have heard good marks about this game...if I can get over the learning curve and can enjoy this game. I will buy it...and probably future versions. I am very active on the SM boards. And the ease of use in that game is phenomial. ootp has everything a baseball fan wants/needs... |

Start simple - download a quickstart game from one of the mod websites with 16 teams or so and just learn the game. If you don't try and make it too complicated early on, you should be able to pick it up after a few hours.

There actually are tutorial videos:
OOTP Tutorials Try that thread. It's a sticky on the General Discussions board. Early on, I checked out the videos. They're pretty well done, and good to pick up on a few things you may not have thought about before. Then, of course, there is always the 500 pound, er, I mean page manual to supplement your learning. And lastly, there's always the boards. Many many a question has been asked and answered around here, so make good use of that search button!
