FaceGan Question
Is it OK to ask a facegen question here or is there a forum for that??? If so, sorry, moderators feel free to move it and I'll try to follow.
I did a search for what I was looking for. The first three I got no matches then I got 500. This seems to be the way it always goes whenever I try searches. Sorry, anyway, here is my question. Is there any way to take a facegen generated photo in the game out of OOTP and open it in Paint (or some other such program) and edit it myself OUTSIDE of OOTP?????? Sorry, I'm just betting this has already been asked a thousand times but I couldn't find it. And I am asking specifically to be able to edit it OUTSIDE of OOTP. I already did notice some tools INSIDE OOTP to edit it. EDIT: Just thought of something. Guess I could take a screen shot and crop the photo from that, so at least I know I have that option. But if there is a directory somewhere that I could find them would be easier. EDIT2: Geez, of course doing it that way I wouldn't know how to get it back IN then. Hmmmm..... All the FaceGen images for any league are stored in that league's news\html\images directory, with filenames like Player_000.png. Obviously, you can edit any of those images in Paint or whatever program you like; the trick is simply to identify which one corresponds to the player you want to edit.
The easiest way to find this out is to enable Commissioner mode and go to the Editor tab of the player's profile. The very first line under Basic Information is "Player ID". That number is the rest of name of his image file (so if his player ID is 953, his image file is Player_953.png). You can make whatever changes you like to the file, though I wouldn't recommend changing the dimensions. As long as you don't change the file name at all, OOTP will display your version as the player's picture (you may need to reload the league after making any changes before your new version shows up). Also, keep in mind that any time the game updates all the player pictures, your changes will be overwritten unless you select "Freeze Picture" from the Picture menu in the bottom-left corner of the Player Profile in advance. - Kai
