Hidden player question

What happens to a discovered hidden player that you can't sign? Do they stay on your shortlist or do they get dumped into the free agent pool after awhile?

They certainly will stay on your shortlist unless you remove them. The manual says that they will eventually become free agents, but I have followed several unsigned players for years (by periodically checking the shortlist), and I've never seen it happen- they seem to stay hidden unless you sign them yourself.
