I've run the numbers. Where am I making a mistake. The game will not let me sign new players and I can't even renew existing contracts. Like Betz is getting 6 mil now but wants just 490000 to re-up. Why not?

My remaining payroll expenses + payroll spent + last year's negative = 84.2 mil.

Income
36.6 gate revenue (4.3/19) * 162 (80% home 20% visitor--should even out 19 games played so far)
13.5 merch revenue (2/12) * 81 (12 home dates so far)
39.3 media revenue

89.4 TOTAL -- why only 53.8 current budget?

5.2 in the black.

Do you have owners setting the budget?

This is an online league and the commish says:

"The manual is correct in that all leagues have a choice as to how to set
up the budget, but ours (like all other online leagues I know of) are
run independently of owners."

I made a mistake in my original post.
Gate Revenue is probably more like 29.6 mil so
Total Revenue is 7 mil less which means I end up slightly in the red.

Even so, I ought to be able to renew some contracts since next year's guaranteed payroll is only 25mil.

I just realized that current budget is based on last year's gate + last year's merchandise revenue + this year's media contract. The problem is that the commish went in and raised everyone's new media contract, but the game does not reflect this in the current budget. Would this be considered a bug?
