Help The OOTP 08 Newbie
Hi all i have played the OOTP Baseball since 6.0 and love it. what i do is play a season with real historical players and historical teams. i have ty cobb on the 27 yankees, and Eddie Plank as a pitching addition. It took me alittle bit to get the historical stats. what i did is picked the best year of the players career for the historal data used. i took the info from the lahman's database.
Anway, i just purchased OOTP 8.0 i wanted to keep playing my seasons on 8.0 that i had so much fun with on 6.0. i thought i "imported" the season onto the 8.0, the players and teams are all there, but the historical stats i saw looked all wrong. what is the correct way to take all historical data used from my OOTP 6.0 leagues and use it in the OOTP 8? Any help is greatly appreciated Darren |

By historical stats, do you mean stats from a previous season?

thanks for writing. sorry for the confusion. no, what i mean with historical stats is the real life stats from the player. what i did in my "league of dreams" is that i also took the best year of every play and used that as their real stats. does that help at all?
