Triple AAA Problem

Ok, I'm having a weird problem. I simulated 2 seasons without any problems. When the 3rd season. I had 28 or so players on my AAA team so I decided to cut it down to 25. This was before the season started, right after the spring training. I simulated 30-40 games or so then I came back to check my line-ups. 50 players on my AAA team . Yes, I let the computer do my line-ups and depth charts and all but geez, why would he hire 25 no name players that I don't need. Fyi, I don't have AA-A or any other teams. I just stick to Major League + AAA. But the computer never messed up my line-up for the first 2 seasons.

Taking a break until I know why this happened.

Welcome, Marf. When you say "cut it down to 25" did you do that manually by releasing players? Or did you select the AAA league and change the setting as shown below?

Well, OK then. You've had enough time off! Let's set that option and get you back to playing this terrific game, eh?
