It will vary greatly, depending on the size of your league (#of teams, minors, etc), if you use facegen, real images, the Almanac.

You can have very small leagues that require little space, or you can have very large leagues that require a lot of space.

Is there a way to compress (zip) the data files from previous seasons so that they would not take up so much disk space?

Another option - I read on another thread that one guy set up the game to save the data files to an external hard drive. Is that possible?

Plus, whatever you start at in terms of how Bruce describes, it grows over time with every passing season.

As was already said, it will vary greatly depending on how the league is set up. Just to give you some sort of perspective, my current historical league has one AAA minor league and one AA minor league, I save boxscores but not gamelogs or injury logs or transaction logs, I have most of Gambo's picture pack, and I cut my almanacs out of my league folder and put them elsewhere, have run the league from 1903-1919 currently (almost 17 complete seasons), and my league file size is 97.3 MB

Well, I don't really think that the end can be assessed as of itself as being the end because what does the end feel like? It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you.
