2 noob questions

As a noob to OOTP, I have two questions:

1) During the playing of a game, how can I save the game and resume it later?

2) How can I get the game screen to fit the size of my monitor? It is only about 2/3rds of the window size.

1. I don't think that's possible.

2. Use the full screen mode under preferences rather than setting a specific size.
