Thinking About Buying the Game- Want to ask some Questions
Hey guys.. I'm not going to lie, I've played Baseball Mogul for the past four or five years.. And I recently heard about OOTP, came over here and looked at some screenshots, read reviews, etc., etc. Needless to say, I've liked what I've seen so far.. And have some interest in potentially buying the game. However, before I do so, I just wanted to ask a few quick questions..
1: Do you use real players in OOTP? (Ex. Derek Jeter, Chipper Jones, Chase Utley, etc.?) If so, how in depth are the minor league systems? Are the complete rosters on here, or no? Just the star prospects? Any minor leaguers at all? 2: How are the simulation settings? Are the stats at the end of the year pretty accurate to what that player would be producing in real life? 3: How is the Play by Play mode in OOTP? Is it similar to BM? 4: If your running a franchise, can you set all teams to human? 5: If so, can you set all the human teams games to be played in PBP mode? (I know in BM you couldn't do this until a recent patch, was just wondering if it was available here?) 6: How are the rosters and ratings in OOTP? Pretty accurate? Not so well? 7: How are the mods for the game? Are there roster mods, stadium mods, player portrait mods? Etc.? If you would be as kind as to list which of the mods you think are best as well. (would be really helpful) 8: Is there a demo link I can find somewhere to test OOTP 9 to make sure I like it? If so, where? 9: In all honesty, how would you rank OOTP compared to BM? I've only played BM, never played OOTP, and would like to hear an honest comparison. Thanks to whoever takes the time to answer these questions for me.. Hopefully I'll be a member of OOTP in no time. |

I'm one person here that does enjoy some of the things BM has that OOTP doesnt have. But OOTP is the king.
BTW the thing that is best about BM is the pitcher/batter matchup how diifferent pithcer's actual pitches are rated and how much movement said pitch can have, compared to another pitchers. But what you post about is 90% options, and options are endless in OOTP, I would say give it a try.It just may end up having your pc archive your mogul files.
