Welcome to the forum and the game. No worries about bugging anyone. Hope you enjoy the game. If you have questions feel free to post them here. Myself or someone else will be along to answer them. I stop by the forums several times a day and always check this one first.

Thanks a lot guys!!

Alright, first Newb question...how in the heck do I make a trade?

I decided to shop around a catcher, and I found someone willing to make the trade. When I click on the trade tab, the trade summary pops up, but I can't click the "make this work now" tab on top.

Am I missing something? I see no other tab to submit the trade.

Welcome.

Like you, I'm a noob. I've only been playing for a few days. It's a tough game. Very fun though. My biggest weakness is I know little about baseball to begin with so I'm having to learn about that as well as the actual game.

I downloaded the demo then just ended up buying the game. I started a Fictional player league, simmed three seasons to establish some stats, and then took the team with the worst record. I've played two seasons, finished 67-95, 74-88, and so far in my third season I'm at 58-73 with barely 30 games left, I might not even fare as well as I did last season. Bummer. But I'm learning a lot.

I live in Northern California by the way, north of Sacramento (you live in Modesto?).

It's not unusual to have a dropoff (reality check) in your 3rd or 4th season of rebuilding. That's when you try to get a FA to help if you can afford it.

No that's my name actually, lol. I get that all the time.

I was actually playing another online baseball game, and while looking at the forums someone threw out a link to this place. It was love at first sight. This is exactly the type of game I've always wanted. I think of myself as a pretty knowledgeable guy when it comes to baseball on and off the field, so I'm expecting to have a lot of fun. By the way, I went ahead and purchased ootp 10, anyone know when the release date is?

Latest projection for release is early May provided testing and fixes go smoothly.

I've been lurking for a couple of weeks and tomorrow my demo runs out..... Gonna be a few weeks of withdrawl for sure. So yeah, I'm a noob to these forums and the game but I've already seen that there's tons of info and mods and I can't wait till I get the magic email saying OOTP10 is available to download. I did pre-order so there's no turning back either

You won't regret it, CeeBee. Although not in a straight line upward, the game keeps getting better and better.
