Hands Off AI !!!

Is there a way for me to put one player in a position, and then have the AI manage the roster, but NOT remove my player that I put into that position in the lineup/rotation/etc.

Something like an AI override.

I want this guy to be the number one pitcher in the rotation or I want this guy to play shortstop...AND...I want the AI to control all the remainder of the lineup and so forth...just NOT that one or two guys.

Thanks.

For position players, on the strategy page, you can lock them into a position. Unfortunately, this option isn't currently available for pitchers.

You could go into "7 day lineups" and force that pitcher to start when you please.

Thanks. I figured that out based on what you said.

I want to "force" some of my players to start.

This game is very deep. But that makes for a steep learning curve for me. I like that.

My main pet peeve has always been game crashes/stability. I haven't had any crashes yet with this game. So it seems to be pretty stable. Very fun so far.

My performance through three seasons has been completely LAME. I managed to win 74 games in one season. LMAO. I probably could have done that well by making decisions with a coin toss.

I'll look at that too. Thanks.

I'm trying to figure out a sort of Hybrid methodology to control certain aspects of my team. I want to Oversee certain things, but not others.

I want certain players in certain positions, but I don't care about others (and I want the AI to deal with those others).

And I want certain players to get more playing time, regardless of what the AI thinks.

I figured out how to keep a player from being traded, for example. That was nice. I don't really want to try to figure out trades just yet, I'd like to let my AI do that for now, but I absolutely DON'T want some of my players traded, no matter what.

That works pretty well so far. Thanks. That little trick is going to be very helpful.
