Hands Off AI !!!
Is there a way for me to put one player in a position, and then have the AI manage the roster, but NOT remove my player that I put into that position in the lineup/rotation/etc.
Something like an AI override. I want this guy to be the number one pitcher in the rotation or I want this guy to play shortstop...AND...I want the AI to control all the remainder of the lineup and so forth...just NOT that one or two guys. Thanks. |

For position players, on the strategy page, you can lock them into a position. Unfortunately, this option isn't currently available for pitchers.

Thanks. I figured that out based on what you said.
I want to "force" some of my players to start. This game is very deep. But that makes for a steep learning curve for me. I like that. My main pet peeve has always been game crashes/stability. I haven't had any crashes yet with this game. So it seems to be pretty stable. Very fun so far. My performance through three seasons has been completely LAME. I managed to win 74 games in one season. LMAO. I probably could have done that well by making decisions with a coin toss. |

I'm trying to figure out a sort of Hybrid methodology to control certain aspects of my team. I want to Oversee certain things, but not others.
I want certain players in certain positions, but I don't care about others (and I want the AI to deal with those others). And I want certain players to get more playing time, regardless of what the AI thinks. I figured out how to keep a player from being traded, for example. That was nice. I don't really want to try to figure out trades just yet, I'd like to let my AI do that for now, but I absolutely DON'T want some of my players traded, no matter what. |
