Road record better than home record?

Any tips on why a team would perform better on the road, versus at home? My team's home record is 28-34 and their away record is 39-22. If I could just be .500+ at home, I'd be running away with my division.

Check your home park factors. They may be off. Even though that should help your batters too.

More than the park factors being off, you may just not have a team built for your ballpark.

Or, the explanation is even simpler - small sample size. The historical home team winning percentage is between .530 and .540. A home-road split like the one cited is unusual, but still well within the range of simple luck.
