Starting Balance

How do I get my Starting Balance in year 2017 to equal my Final Balance in year 2016?

I'm not sure how to edit this. I want to carry accurate financial data forward so I can either benefit or be punished by my previous seasons.

It started with $10 million and when I first started, even if I lost more than this amount, I never had to start with less than -$10,000,000. That was great then.

But now I'm finally making money. I'd like to carry some of that forward. Now even if I finish the season with $15 million, it cuts me back to $10 million.

I'd like for whatever my ending balance is one year to be the money I begin with the next season. I've tweaked this back and forth but I'm not getting the results I want.

Any ideas?

The manual says this about the "Starting Balance" field:

If you have played more than one season, then your starting cash
balance is added or subtracted from your Projected Budget Room.

But that is true only up to the $10 million limitation. More reverts downward to $10 million. Less reverts upward to -$10 million.

Game > Game Setup > League Setup > Rules. Scroll down to Financial Rules, check out Cash Maximum. You're probably working with it at $10M. Be careful how large you raise the Maximum though, if you set it to, say, a billion dollars, you're going to see players earning $50 or $60M a year with all that extra cash floating around.

Thanks again for your help. I'm trying to coordinate all this with my Luxury Tax and so forth to create a workable fun league without being too top heavy for the winners.

I found a very good thread that addresses the luxury tax issue and I'm making some progress.
