Financials question

i have an issue that we've recently discovered in our league where the projected payroll for 2010 doesn't jive with the payroll for that year on the salary report. Can anyone shed some light on why there'd be a difference?

using my team as an example, i am currently showing a current budget of 92.8 mill, staff payroll of 330K, scouting expenses of 2 mill and a projected payroll for 2010 of 87.9 mill which leaves me 2.5 mill for extensions. In looking at my 2010 payroll under salary report my total salary is 77.6 mill, so shouldn't i have another 10 million for extensions? where does the projected payroll come from and why is it 10 million higher than what my salary report shows?

any advice fellas?

Are you in 2009 still? It might be taking arbitration into effect. Or maybe option years, bonuses, etc. I couldn't be sure without seeing the screens.

Arby numbers are included in the years amount, i just added up all the player salary totals manually. Bonuses might not be included, but i doubt any bonuses would add up to 10 million bucks. We are still in 2009 and we're using owner controlled budgets, i wonder if that might have anything to do with it, but it still doesnt explain why the number on the salary report for 2010 is 10 million less than what it shows on the finances page for projected payroll...

i sent you an email with the screen grabs, thanks Kelric!

Looking at one of my own leagues, the projected payroll is different than what the salary report screen shows for me as well. Only $600k off in my case, however.

Another league with much smaller financials (my payroll is only $55K) shows no difference whatsoever.

A third league has the projected payroll LOWER than what the Salary Report screen says.

So... I have no idea what on earth OOTP is doing.

its bizarre to say the least, but it sure places a hindrance on player extensions thats for sure. Anyone got any other ideas on why this might be??
