Are you asking for one specific team roster (the 1998 Yankees) or for the entire league (1998 MLB)?

OK...to keep the thread going...let's say I wanted to create a league that had the best teams ever...98 Yankees, 76 Reds etc...

How would I pull the individual teams and place them in a league together?

I can't help you with that, but I know there are other threads about that very same thing floating around the boards. Look in the OOTP9 forums, too.

That part is easy. You can try it in Advanced Mode or with the Wizard, but we'll go with the Wizard for ease of use.

Create a New Custom Game. The League Creation Wizard should pop up. Select Create Historical League.

Enter in the season you want, then decide what options you'd like. I import Complete History, which takes longer. Once you get your settings here, go to Next Step.

Make sure all the teams are named what you want. I rename the league to Major League Baseball and make sure the American and National sub leagues both have League in the name.

Next Step. I play with Triple-A, Double-A, Single-A. Choose whatever minors you want. I allow ghost players, so I don't click either of the next two options.

Next Step. Recalc, Expansion and Financial settings. I leave all of them checked except Recalc, simply because I like my history to be alternate.

Next Step. Picture options.

Next Step. Create your manager, start the game.

After this you can go to your game setup options and play with the settings more (coaches, scouts, morale, DH, strategy, etc., etc., etc.).

Game setup - Edit League Structure. There is an option to import an historical team.

Note: Can only be done during off-season/pre-season.

Note: Don't forget to create a new schedule if you add/remove teams or restructure your league.
