real draft years

im doing a historic sim and i want the drafts to be semi accurate to the real ones, are there settings that work with the Gambo DB so players dont get drafted in the wrong years

If gambo has the correct debut years in the db it will work auto-magically.

I do not know how the Gambo db works. My Spritze db tries to account for this and give players minor league careers. You could try it, but if you like the Gambo db you may need to contact him to see what is possible.

here is an example

ken griffey jr
drafted in 1987(huge prospect)
played 1987 and 1988 in minors debuted in 1989

is there a way(without me manually doing it) to have him drafted in 1987 but not make his ML debut till 1989, i know this seems silly but i like the idea of great players playing in the minors for at least a little bit(if you draft griffey in any year, he gets called up immediately). am i just hoping for something ridiculous.

piazza is another example
drafted in 1988, didnt debut till 1992(but had a great career)

Unfortunately there is no way to do this. With Spritz's DB it becomes a little more common sometimes with his MLE's but unfortunately for the good players in order for them to be good, the game will move them up pretty quick no matter what you do. Unless of course you play in "god-mode" like some and just take over everything to make sure all this happens historically.
