Disabling financials

Can this be done once the season starts?

I've played a couple seasons with the financials off and would like to try this aspect of the game. I've already prepared my rosters for the new season and I'm just wondering if you can turn the financials off once the season starts.

Nope, once the season starts you are stuck with them until the next pre-season rolls around.

Suggestion: Make a copy of your league (copy the save folder to a different location, rename it, then put it back in the save game directory) then try out the financials with the copy. If you like it great, if not, go back to your original copy and no harm done.

Yeah, I have gotten in the habit of making backups of the folders on to my external hard drive. It took me forever to make a Franchise Greats League and the damn game crashed two games into my season.
