Implementing Financial System

After years of playing without financial system, I tried to implement it now.
After 3 seasons I turned it off again.

Here is why:

1) Some really good guys were FA for those 3 years, nobody signed them.
2) Game Set up said 40k attendance, but on teams financial report, I only had 10k. All teams btw way under that 40k.
3) Although I set a high payroll limit, each team was under this significantly.
4) Set the media contract for each time to 10b, but no team saw a single dollar.
5) Couldn't figure out if ticket price affects attendance or vice versa.
There is even more.

All in all I pulled back.
All the other settings have been the default ones.

Any ideas why this didn't work?

I'm guessing here, but are the stadium capacities large enough to hold 40,000 people? If not, and they can only hold 10,000, well ... its hard to get 40,000 into a 10,000 seat stadium.

Then, depending on the average salaries and how you've set budgets, your lack of attendance drives lower revenues, which means less $ for player signings.

Now, why media was $0, I can't say ... something else seems off to see that ...

Ticket prices definitely affect attendance ... too high, lower attendance (although, as IRL, poor on-field performance also affects attendance)

Media contracts are set the day after the playoffs end. You can change them all you want in the interim but unless you change them team by team from the edit financials screen they won't change after then.
