One Pitch or Pitch-by-Pitch

Which do you use? I feel like pitch-by-pitch offers so much more control but takes a really long time. What I've started doing is when the bases are empty and there's a normal at-bat without any real room for managing, I just use SPACE to sim the AB, and then to pitch-by-pitch when there are times when I might wanna hit & run, sac bunt, or whatever else. What have you guys found is the best way to manage games?

I quite often switch between the two....depending on the game situation.
Quite often I go for the Eugene Church method(sim to the seventh)and play on from there.

I agree with the comment of simming to a certain point and then use one-pitch. I had recently purchased the game after play the demo (ootp9). I really like the level of detail for a manager; with trades, drafts and money management. I must admit though i have a hardtime with the PBP.

I used to play management mode in MVP2005. I ran through several seasons. I just could not get enough, the one pitch mode was simple and quick. A one liner result for each player and on to the next play. Then i found mogul and was loving the addition graphic showing ball flight.

OOTP would seem to be the best of everything but I just can't enjoy the PBP. I think if there was less text detail i would like it better.

I was just wondering how others use the PBP. Please don't misunderstand, i am glad to have purchased OOTP. I just wish for a little more in the PBP.

There is an option to have less detail in the text.
You end up getting just a scoresheet type outcome for the play (mostly).

I use the one-pitch since I play out every inning of every one of my games.
It's really just a time issue. It takes way too long for me to play out an entire game pitch-by-pitch.
