Recreate a World Series

A friend of mine wants to replay the 2002 World Series.

I know the game is designed around full seasons, but I figure there must be a way of doing this.

Can you create a league with just two imported historic teams, or what would be the best way of doing this?

Either your idea or import the historical season and play the series as exhibition games.
