How many rounds do you have in your 1st year player draft?

What settings do you have for "Amateur Draft Number of Rounds" and "Generate Players for X Rounds" in the settings?

That depends on how big your league is.

It's a standard MLB league. I started my draft and realized it said 80 rounds so I just put it to around 25'ish. There were about 2,000+ players in the draft... if they don't get drafted they go to FAcy right? Does that mean I have too many players in my game now? Since I have a college and high school feeder.

in OOTP, just because there's 2000+ eligible players to be drafted, that doesn't mean 2000+ will be in your free agency if they don't get drafted right? cause I have 2,115 eligible players in my draft. I don't know if I ruined my league because there'll be too many players there.

I once read that it is recommended to have 5 rounds per level of minors in your draft with players generated for 6 rounds per level, so if you run a full minor league system (AAA, AA, A, short A and rookie level, it would be 25 rounds with players generated for 30 rounds.

Thanks for the tip. The Braves have a AAA, AA, A, A (they have two single-A's... I think Rome is low-A), R, R (two rookie leagues). So 6 levels of the minors for the Braves. 6x5 = 30 rounds with 6x6 = players generated for 36 rounds?
