Injured players in the minors

Do you guys bother to put injured players in the minors on the DL?

The reason why the DL for minors was added was to help the AI better manage the minor league rosters (when injured players were left on the roster, the available players could become so scarce that it created problems). If you are controlling all of the rosters for your minors, then you can use the DL or not, since you have the ability to add to rosters to make up for injured players.

If you have roster limits in your minor leagues, then you may need the DL'; without limits, the DL is pointless....

Actually what's pointless is not having the minor league DL. Doesn't matter if you have roster limits or not.

In previous versions, the AI would still play injured players. Having the minor league DL has helped big time in that regard.

In regarding to ootpX. I will put the players on the DL if they are injured for a while. The reason being is so I have a balanced depth chart. I do not want to overwork on player and, I do not want the computer putting my backup catcher in center field. I manage all my teams to make sure the talent I like develops how I want.

Yes, I do, for the reason Athletics said. Injured players clog up a roster.

I never put injured players in the minors on the DL. But I do always make sure there are enough healthy bodies to fill out the lineup.
