I Have a question

OK I just set up a new league, 1961 AL and NL. I try to play a game and each time I get a pop up screen saying that 1 of theminor league times has an illegal number of players(0). Now this team is in a rookie league and all the rosters in this league are empty, now correct me if I am wrong but doesn't league does not start play until after the draft ? How can fix this ?

You need to turn ghost players on under Game Setup > League Setup > Options.

OK I found GAME SETUP but cannot find LEAGUE SETUP and OPTIONS HELP !!!!!

When you are in Game Setup, there are tabs at the top. One of them is League Setup. There you will find some new tabs. One of them is options. You can turn ghost players on or off at any time, not just off-season.

I'm surprised that you are getting this message, but I've never tested it. I only use two levels of minor league when I play 1960s. Ghost players should solve the problem.

I am going create a new league and only use AAA and AA and see if that helps, been trying to fix this all morning

You can also fill your minor league teams with fictional players and the error will go away.

That option is also in game setup.

I could not find an option for Ghost players at this point I think I threw 40 bucks out the window if you could sent screen shots of what your talking about I will give another try

As Spritze stated you can also fill your minors with fictional players, but that will only solve the problem for the short term unless you constantly fill them every year or two. Turning on ghost players should fix minor league roster issues permanently.

Or as permanently as you can get in a computer program.

Ok guys this what I have done. I simple created a new 1961 league and I found the ghost player box and I am only using AAA and AA, hopefully all should work ok. Now how go I delete all the other leagues that I created ? We may be back on track, thanks all for your input.

All your other .lg files, I assume you mean, rather than leagues within this 'world' we've been discussing. Go to your game dropdown menu and then Load Saved Game. From there you can delete any leagues you want. Just make sure you select the ones you actually want to delete.

OK guys have another problem. I was starting the new season that I created. I went to start a game and before the game started I had to put 2 players on the DL. I get a message that I have illegal number of players on my 40 man roster when I attempt to place a player on the 40 man roster it tells me the 40 man roster is full. OK what do I do now, HELP !!!! lol

Do you have more then 40 players on your 40 man?

It tells me that I have only 39 guys on the 40 man roster, I assume that includes the 2 on the DL? So I attempt to add a man to the 40 it then says roster is full that is what is bugging me.

If the man is on the 60 day DL, he is removed from your 40-man and you should have an open spot for him. A man on the 15 day DL still occupies a spot on the 40-man. Try taking one of your minor leaguers off the 40 to open a spot. Don't know why it would say it was full if only 39 guys are on it.
