Too easy to dump salary?

so in my reds franchise i was easily able to dump aaron harang and bronson arroyo's contracts after my 2009 season ended... but the offers i got for them were ridiculous - miguel cabrera? derek lowe? chris carpenter? i ended up dumping both; one for a prospect and the other for an org-filler.. but i really found that strange how easy it was to do. should i bump up the difficulty or is that a non factor?

What is the trading difficulty that you are using? I think if you bumped it up to Hard and changed the preference to favor prospects you won't be able to dump contracts so easily.

Yeah, I remember when I had to dump a contract on the Hard/Favor Prospects, I had to pay extra to sweeten the pot to get ANYTHING of value back.
