PBP vs Sim mode

Ok this may have been asked in the past, sorry if it has(A second apology if it's in the wrong sub-forum too).

Does the player gain any advantage in playing the games in PBP or one pitch mode over the sim option?

If the AI is calling the plays for your team as well as the other team, there is no difference in what happens (although if you read these forums enough, you will find that there are some who believe otherwise). There is also no difference between pitch-by-pitch or one-pitch. The results are going to be the same.

If you are intervening to make the calls in any aspect of the game (for example, taking charge of the offense), then it's a different story. In general, you should be able to "out-think" the AI, but there is certainly no guarantee of that (as I can certainly testify )

I have found in my experience that you have less players injured if you play out your games versus simming them.

So take that for what it's worth too.

See, I told you someone would say there's a difference. If that were true, I wouldn't be agonizing over the length of my DL in every league I play.

Well I did say "in my experience" because I don't have hard numbers to prove it is a fact

No problem. You are in the majority, from what I can tell.

I play all my games out and had 14(!) guys on the DL at one point.
