Pinch-hitting after pitching change

I have been simming seasons rather than games but decided to get into the dugout for my latest season. But twice in five games, I noticed that I cannot pinch-hit for a pinch-hitter after a pitching change.

For example, I bat Jones, a left-handed batter, for Smith, a righty. Computer manager replaces its right-handed pitcher with a lefty. The game then continues without giving me a chance to sub a right-handed pinch-hitter.

Is this a known bug or am I missing something?

So then, after the AI brings in a RHP, what do you do? Bring in a lefty? Could get ugly.

The game is just following baseball rules.

No, baseball rules allow pinch-hitting for a pinch-hitter. It's the pitcher that has to face at least one batter.

I think I see what you are getting at. Don't have an answer about it. Never tried it. You might want to try in the main forum, and possibly even Technical.
