September Call-Ups/Send Downs without using minor league option?

Hi guys, i just finished a season with the Cubs. I did not make the playoffs. When the season is over i leave my lineup(40 players) until spring training. But when spring training is over i have to go back to my 25 man roster, so i send down my september call ups and spring training invites. Is there a way to do that without using a minor league option? thanks!

Not in OOTP, and not in the real world either.

Under MLB rules, if a player spends 20 or more days in the minor leagues during the regular season, it counts as an option. It does not matter when those 20+ days are spent; April, May, September, it counts equally.

OOTP goes a step further, as it doesn't model the 20 day limit. Instead, if a player spends even one day in the minors during the regular season, it counts as an option.
