Pitfalls for New League?
I am in a 120-man NCAA 10 (for PS3) league that has been running since 2003 and we are all huge baseball fans, as well. During the summer, I stumbled across OOTP and I loved it. I played in one league (which I had to quit because I couldn't get my league file up without disconnecting the router) and ran a few seasons of varying universe formats. After taking about it with the guys in the NCAA league, everyone is excited about purchaasing the game and getting into a league.
That said, I have ZERO online league experience with OOTP. I am confident in my ability to administer a league for myself (I have one I modeled after the Fallout universe; changing all of the cities, etc etc) so that isn't the issue. However, aside from router issue (which I do not understand but I will figure it out) is there anything I need to know, you know ... common mistakes?
Scouting seems to be of some concern. I see some leagues have it completely off, some have multiple sources. What do you do?
I'd like to know if you have any other frequent problems/decisions that you've encountered and overcome with your experience; things that won't jump right out at me. I greatly appreciate it.
