Expansion Draft

I am sure that this is easy to do but just can't work it out - I want to take control of the Arizona Diamondbacks the year they started in 1998, but pre expansion draft, so I have control over which players are employed.

I have tried taking ownership of the team in '98 but the players are already in place.

Help?

Hi - just answered my own question about creating an expansion team but have come up against a problem - have created 2 exp teams using commissioner mode. But can't reach the day of the draft as a I receive a message telling me I have an illegal number of players on my roster! I do - its zero and will be until the draft day which OOTP refuses to let me reach. Help?

The easiest way to get to the DBacks would be to start a 1997 historical league with auto-expansion turned on and then sim to the end of the season. At that point the DBacks should be created and you can take control of them. Probably easier to just start over and do this since I don't know enough of what/how/when you worked on your league to help much.
