SP keeps getting skipped

Not sure why this is happening..Daniel Cabrera, SP of the Colorado Rockies keeps getting skipped in the rotation unless I manually play the game.

He is my #4 pitcher. Whenever it's his turn, he shows up on the screen that lists all games for the day as the SP. I go to play the game, the pitchers spot is blank and I have to manually insert him as the SP.

Rotation is set to strict order and there are no spot starters in the rotation. Anyone know why this is happening?

You adressed my 1st 2 thoughts already.
Back up your league where you are before any of these ideas.
These are guesses, plain and simple.
I would move him to a different slot, 5th or 6th, and see if it is him or the slot.
Next, I would switch to "Highest rested" for 2 weeks to see if the AI kinda "pulls it head out". Then put it back to "Strict".
Check his pitch count setting to make sure it isn't "0" with "Override team strategy" selected.
Mt first couple of thoughts.
Keep your backed up league seperate so you can go back to it.

One other thing.
Is he on the cover of cigar magazine?
He may be in the humidor sampling a Romeo Y Julieta.

Search for a fairly recent thread where it was noted that the pitcher had an injury that was not cleared but doesn't show on the player page.

Sheesh, forget the thread. Make yourself commish and edit the player and you'll see the uncleared injury.

Edit

But do make sure his pitch count is not at 0. The override does not have to be on for this to be enforced.

Edit 2 Found it. It may or not be valid for you.

This happened to me when a player was 19-0 late in late September, but got hurt in his last start. I wanted to see if he could go 20-0 with about three games left in the season, so I took the injury off. Even though I made him the 'next starter' for each of those games, the AI never selected him. I dropped him from the post season roster, to be fair, so he didn't pitch post season. However, he didn't pitch at all in Spring Training, and he missed his first start the next season. Finally I noticed the DTD effect was around 43% and not dropping (since he wasn't marked for an injury to come off.)

Anyway, check that out.

Yeah, John Russell just called and that's where they found him! LOL

RCHW, it was the DTD % thing. He had like 43% in there, I took it out and he was good to go. He just threw a 3 hitter against the Tigers actually. Thanks for pointing that out.
