FOOL-X (OOTP 10 fast paced league) starting up and has a few openings left

With OOTPX coming out in the near future, FOOL has started a sibling league called FOOL-X. It will be based on the same successful idea and rulebase that FOOL has been using for over 60 simmed seasons. This will be a brand new fictional league that is started from scratch with many of the same community members.

What are the advantages to a fast paced sim-league?

* A new season is simmed every week (with the entire regular season sim occuring in one day/export). This means if you are dealt a bad hand to start, or go through a rebuilding time it only takes a few weeks to get back into contention. In other OOTP online leagues, a rebuilding process might take a full real life year or longer. In some cases an online league could fold before your team even has a chance to compete.
* You get a chance to build an organization and see players that you drafted either become something great or fizzle out. In the course of 3-4 months you get to see the full career of league greats and possibly see their inclusion into the hall of fame. This is a rare thing for most online leagues as only a handful of them ever make it 15+ seasons.
* This league focuses on the offseason transactions that are often times the favorite part of many online OOTP league members. As many enjoy the signing of free agents, drafting of prospects and making trades, a fast paced league such as this centers your involvement around those type of transactions.

This is a great way to play fake baseball. 1 season in a week sounds crazy at first, but once you get into the rhythm of the sim schedule you'll have a hard time finding a more fulfilling experience.

Alan is a great commish, and an even better league participant (we're lucky he's not going to be kicking our butts). His devotion to the league in the absence of actually running a team speaks volumes of his character.

If you don't sign up for this league you're missing out on a great opportunity. Seriously.
