LOTB - New great league, 2009 Rosters (OOTP X)

Hello everyone, my name is Stephen and some of you know me outside of these forums from various baseball leagues..

I have recently started a new league with a good group of people that we are starting to get off the ground. The league is a new OOTP X league, using real 2009 rosters. Scouting is ON. The league is LOTB "League of True Ballers"

The league only has about 11 or 12 members up to this point because the new site and forum were just finished. We want to fill the league or have it near full before running the first sim, hopefully within the next week.

Check out the GM directory to see which teams are available (still plenty of great talented teams with many talented farm systems still available), then send in a GM application. Then I will send you the registration pass phrase needed for the main page

Update - Oct. 5th, 2009-: we have finished our first season (texas rangers were our league champions). we have gotten rid of our inactive GMs in hopes of bringing in all new active GMs. check the latest post in this thread for the full update

Ay yes, I forgot that I changed the GM directory settings to registered users only because of the visible email addresses of our users.

This will be a great league, especially for those who want to get in on the 'ground' level and really mold a team to your liking in OOTP X. I've taken over numerous teams that have been thrashed by previous owners, so I'm really looking forward to managing a squad from Day 1.

Plus, I like the idea of starting with updated 2009 rosters. Don't like how your favorite team is being managed in RL? Take them over in LoTB and manage the farm system your way with other competitive owners.

We've got a great base of hand-picked owners so far, there are still a lot of good teams available, so join us!

I look forward to making sure Julio Lugo is nowhere near my active Red Sox roster

UPDATE**

We have finished our first season at LOTB, in which we started off very active but like a lot of new leagues, a good portion of the GM's turned out to be busts and stopped being active and stopped exporting, or just could no longer find time in their busy lives.

We still have half the league full of good GM's, but now there are about 8 openings available.

LOTB is currently in the off-season and we would like to fill up as many slots as we can before simming through free agency, as to make it fair to the rest of the league that the only active GM's dont stock up on free agents and rule 5 picks.

Here is a list of available teams (and some of them are well stacked teams):

Please only sign up if you know for a FACT that you will be ACTIVE and competitive in this league. We're hoping to get a solid core of full timers to keep the league exciting for many years to come.
